Pink haired drama queen...

Like I said in a previous post, we've been spending some time at the pool lately. Bella has been a little worried about the pool lately, she is really worried that the chlorine in the pool is going to take the pink out of her hair. I've had a hard time keeping a swim cap on her head, so I assume that she does not feel like her hair is as protected as it should be. This morning at the pool, she didn't want to get in at all because of it. I may have told her that the pool didn't have chlorine in it, but I really wasn't looking forward to fighting with her over the issue.

Here she is on Friday at a friend's pool, in her full "snorkelling" uniform. The outfit would have been complete if her Ariel water wings hadn't sprung a leak.

Here she is this morning....

So...

We went to Atlantic Station with some friends on Friday to try and get some shopping done at H&M. It was a complete bust! The line outside the store wrapped around the building and we would have waited a couple of hours just to get in. Bella was pretty excited and wanted to get in line as soon as we got there, but it was hot and it wasn't going to work with a bunch of little kids. She was heartbroken that she didn't get to go into H&M, she even wore her H&M dress for the occasion. So, I am going to have to take her back and make a big day out of it.

Today, we had a nice family breakfast out, which was such a treat for us because we are usually dragging on Saturday mornings since soccer is over. Afterwards, I took Bella to get a haircut at our friend Brooke's salon, and she was awesome enough to put some pink and purple in her hair. Now, Bella has two bits of pink with purple tips, she looks so cool. The nice thing is that it's not permanent and she feels like such a cool kid with the pink hair. She was showing it off everywhere we went afterwards. I had to explain to her that she has to wear a swim cap at the pool from now on to save her hair colour for as long as possible. We'll see how that works out.

Here are a few pictures I took. She styled herself today, and she is definitely showing off her sense of style... all she needed was her tutu to top the look off.

Guess what tomorrow is?

I have been waiting for this day for months, and now it is finally upon us. Tomorrow is the Grand Opening of H&M at Atlantic Station. I have been very patient, and I'm now ready to finally buy Bella some summer clothes there. The poor kid has been wearing the same three pair of shorts I bought at Target because I've been waiting for H&M to get here so I could get her summer clothes there. I'll try to remember the camera to take pictures to mark this momentous occasion.

It seems like just yesterday I posted this...

Swimming

We have been spending a lot of time in the pool lately, and Bella is a swimming champ. She's gotten a little tan, and her hair is looking a little lighter. She is super brave and a pretty strong swimmer, she was jumping off the diving board at a pool party this weekend (with me catching her of course). The other wonderful thing about all the pool time lately is that she has been sleeping like a log. Just the other day after having spent sometime at the pool, she asked to go to bed early, and that is just unheard of in this house. I don't know how I am going to deal with her when the summer is over and she doesn't have the pool to tire her out. I just need to come up with some way to make enough money to be able to afford a house with an indoor pool. Photobucket

BUBBLES

What kid doesn't like blowing bubbles? Here are a few pictures of Bella showing off her bubble skills and wearing her cute gown from Nicaragua.

Botanical Gardens

We went to the botanical Gardens earlier this week, and I am itching to go back. We only got to see the Children's Garden but the little I did see was gorgeous. Bella really enjoyed herself too.

Here are some of the pictures I took...
