Braves game

On Saturday evening, Bella attended her first Braves game. She is now hooked. We went to the game with my friend Brooke, her husband, her sons (Ronin and Raiden), her father and sister. The kids were really into the game, it also didn't hurt that they ate their way through a good bit of the game. We took the kids to play at "Tooner Field", where the kids have an area to play and cool down a little. After the 7th, our friends left, and we were going to leave as well, but Bella was not going to have any of it. She wanted to stay and watch the rest of the game. She cheered, and danced, and was REALLY into the game. She has been begging to go back to another game.

We looked REALLY rough at the end of the game.

Max the fish

One of Patrick's co-workers gave us a fish tank that he no longer needed. We set up the tank and today it's first residents moved in. Bella's first pet "Max" moved in, as well as a plecostomus fish, that she's named "Moochie", that helps keep the tank clean. She was so excited, and she has read stories, danced and sang for Max and Moochie. Her only complaint is that she is worried that Max is lonely. We tried to explain to her that we couldn't put another fish in for a while, and that we needed to let Max get used to his new home before bringing more friends.

This is Max

This is Moochie

You can't give an artist boundaries

I have made a mistake by trying to constrain Bella's art to the paper on her easel. She was painting while I was making dinner the other night and she just could not keep from painting her hands, face, she even painted her foot and stamped the paper with it at one point.

The Art Ninja
This hand needed a little paint, it definitely did not have enough.

Strawberry picking

We went strawberry picking on Friday morning with some of our friends. We had an absolute blast picking berries, and watching the kids eat more berries then they were putting in their baskets. Bella was on a mission to pick the most berries, but we had a little problem, out quart baskets could only hold just that a quart. By the time I realized that we should have bought the bucket instead it was too late to turn back. So, instead Bella started picking and eating the berries right then and there. I'm definitely going to try and go one more time before the season is over.

Insert witty title here

Again, I've been very bad about updating the blog, I am sorry. Let me give you a quick update of what is going on in Bella's world right now.

- Soccer is going great, she is definitely improving. She may not be the next soccer prodigy but she is having so much fun, and that of course is the most important thing.

- We are in the what I like to refer to as a "The Birthday Circuit", which begins at the end of April and goes on til the end of June. There are other birthday parties during the year, but this time of year we have multiple parties to attend each month. I am not complaining by any means because Bella really enjoys going to every parties, and she especially enjoys all the birthday cake. Photobucket

- Bella is also going through an artistic phase. She loves drawing and she has started drawing people and she drew her first animal the other day (an elephant, see the picture below). It is really neat to see her art work developing from a few scribbles when she was a toddler to actual people, animals and things.

- She's really been into watching the movie "Enchanted", and one of her favourite things to play is to pretend to be Princess Giselle from the movie.

- Bella is going to be the next Elizabeth Taylor. Saying that she is obsessed with the idea of weddings is an understatment. One of her friends proposed to her, promising a wedding with pizza, cake and mountain dew. Now, how could my baby pass that up?! She has also told another boy she would marry him. It's kind of cute and kind of disturbing. Patrick and I decided last night that we need to keep telling her that only grown up can get married and that we are going to try and ignore the major ramblings on about weddings, with the hopes that she will calm down about this thing.

Here are some recent pictures....

Miguel Angel Cordero

My grandfather, Isabella's Great Grandfather passed away April 27th. He was a wonderful man who we love and will dearly miss.
