Unleash the creativity... again

So, Bella felt the creative energy take over her again this evening. Before bath time, she had been quietly playing in her room. At some point she went into her bathroom and took her make up from her princess makeover, without me noticing. That she wasn't supposed to touch the makeup, and I guess it's my own fault for not hiding it better. Anyways, Patrick and I knew it was too quiet so we walked into her room to see what she was doing and found that she unleashed the creativity on her face.

Snow...

OK, so it rarely if ever snows in Georgia, so there's practically a parade here today for a the centimeter that we got today. What's sad is that it's been raining, so that little that fell will be gone by the time that morning comes. Here is a picture of the little bit of snow that fell here today.

So, for a lot of kids we know this is the first time they've seen snow, and it just reminded me of Bella's first time seeing snow in Canada. She was so excited and as hokey as this sounds, there was something almost magical about it. I remember she had such a blast playing out in the snow, and helping grandma shovel the snow that was almost as high as she was tall. So, I thought I'd post a picture and video of Bella's first snow fall, just for old time's sake.

A morning with Daddy....

Bella spent the morning with Daddy, and I got a phone call that started with "don't be mad but....". As it turns out Bella had been playing with her art easel and used the soft crayons I bought her yesterday. She felt the artistic energy take over her and she decided to use her body as her canvas. Here are the results....

Trader Joe's

Bella and I went to Trader Joe's today. Bella was so excited about going to Trader Joe's and getting Cat Cookies For People from the sample lady, which happen to be her favourite part of going to Trader Joe's. She helped me pick out the food, she was walking through the aisles intently considering all of our options before she picked something. She had to have a say in what we were going to eat.

Cats and Annie

It's official, Bella is 100% my child. She's seen the ads on TV for both Cats and Annie and she is now badgering me to take her to both. Her argument for going to see Cats is that they sing and that they are cats, and she likes cats. As for Annie, it's because Bella said that it would make Annie happy if she watched the show. OK, so they aren't the greatest arguments, but then again she's three. I just think that it is too cute that she wants to go see musical theatre, she's like mini me. I am considering trying to get tickets to The Lion King coming in the Spring, I think she'd like that.

On a totally different topic, we went to Target today and I picked up the coolest travel easel in the clearance section. Sick

I haven't updated the blog in the last few days because Bella and I have been sick. We've both been miserable, but I think we are starting to get better. I think that the cold weather has not helped us feel much better either. I know that the weather in Georgia isn't as cold as I was used to in Canada, but I guess because I've been out of Canada for so long that the cold here gets me.
