What I've failed to post...

Since the last time this was updated, Bella has been doing really well. She has started gymnastics, and she just moved up a level and had a gymnastics recital. She's doing well in school, it's hard to think of her as one of the youngest in her class because she is such a big kid.

Here is a slide show with pictures taken since the last update.

Here is a video from Christmas morning.

Playing Catch Up

It has been way too long since I've updated the blog and it's about time I get back to blogging. Since the last time I updated the blog, Bella celebrated her fourth birthday, started school and Fall soccer. I'll save you all a long drawn out explanation and just bombard you with pictures and videos from the last little while.

Soccer Camp

Sad that it was the last day of soccer camp, but she couldn't stay sad long because it was also her birthday.

She didn't want her picture taken at all. For the record, her shirt says "Class of 2022". Can you believe that?!

New Hair and Other News

Someone decided that cutting a small chunk of hair with safety scissors would be a dandy idea. We took a little trip yesterday to see our friend Brooke, so that Bella could get her hair cut before school starts, and to blend the bit which she lopped off.

In other news, Bella has a birthday coming up and we are having her birthday party on Sunday July 27th. Grandma, Grandpa and Tia Alex are flying down to help her celebrate. Also, she starts British soccer camp on Monday July 28th, she is so fired up and she can't wait. Then the following Monday (August 4th), Bella officially starts Pre-K. She is so excited about school, and so am I. I know I'll be sad, but she is going to love school.

Funny Picture

We were at a Birthday pool party, and my friend Melissa captured this shot of Bella. She had been told not to put juice in that cup, this was when she got caught.

Fourth of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July. We spent the afternoon with Patrick's family, we cooked out, and the kids swam in the new pool Crystal just bought. Bella now has about six mosquito bites from being outside. That evening we all went to check out the fireworks in East Point. The kids had an absolute blast, Bella even got to try out her little 3-D fireworks glasses. Maybe next year we'll brave the crowds and go to the 4th of July celebrations at Lenox.

Showing off her 3-D fire works glasses at Gran's house.

Waiting for the fireworks to start...

Finally there's fireworks, and the best place to watch them is sitting on the back of Cousin Britney's convertible.

Pink haired drama queen...

Like I said in a previous post, we've been spending some time at the pool lately. Bella has been a little worried about the pool lately, she is really worried that the chlorine in the pool is going to take the pink out of her hair. I've had a hard time keeping a swim cap on her head, so I assume that she does not feel like her hair is as protected as it should be. This morning at the pool, she didn't want to get in at all because of it. I may have told her that the pool didn't have chlorine in it, but I really wasn't looking forward to fighting with her over the issue.

Here she is on Friday at a friend's pool, in her full "snorkelling" uniform. The outfit would have been complete if her Ariel water wings hadn't sprung a leak.

Here she is this morning....

So...

We went to Atlantic Station with some friends on Friday to try and get some shopping done at H&M. It was a complete bust! The line outside the store wrapped around the building and we would have waited a couple of hours just to get in. Bella was pretty excited and wanted to get in line as soon as we got there, but it was hot and it wasn't going to work with a bunch of little kids. She was heartbroken that she didn't get to go into H&M, she even wore her H&M dress for the occasion. So, I am going to have to take her back and make a big day out of it.

Today, we had a nice family breakfast out, which was such a treat for us because we are usually dragging on Saturday mornings since soccer is over. Afterwards, I took Bella to get a haircut at our friend Brooke's salon, and she was awesome enough to put some pink and purple in her hair. Now, Bella has two bits of pink with purple tips, she looks so cool. The nice thing is that it's not permanent and she feels like such a cool kid with the pink hair. She was showing it off everywhere we went afterwards. I had to explain to her that she has to wear a swim cap at the pool from now on to save her hair colour for as long as possible. We'll see how that works out.

Here are a few pictures I took. She styled herself today, and she is definitely showing off her sense of style... all she needed was her tutu to top the look off.

Guess what tomorrow is?

I have been waiting for this day for months, and now it is finally upon us. Tomorrow is the Grand Opening of H&M at Atlantic Station. I have been very patient, and I'm now ready to finally buy Bella some summer clothes there. The poor kid has been wearing the same three pair of shorts I bought at Target because I've been waiting for H&M to get here so I could get her summer clothes there. I'll try to remember the camera to take pictures to mark this momentous occasion.

It seems like just yesterday I posted this...

Swimming

We have been spending a lot of time in the pool lately, and Bella is a swimming champ. She's gotten a little tan, and her hair is looking a little lighter. She is super brave and a pretty strong swimmer, she was jumping off the diving board at a pool party this weekend (with me catching her of course). The other wonderful thing about all the pool time lately is that she has been sleeping like a log. Just the other day after having spent sometime at the pool, she asked to go to bed early, and that is just unheard of in this house. I don't know how I am going to deal with her when the summer is over and she doesn't have the pool to tire her out. I just need to come up with some way to make enough money to be able to afford a house with an indoor pool. Photobucket

BUBBLES

What kid doesn't like blowing bubbles? Here are a few pictures of Bella showing off her bubble skills and wearing her cute gown from Nicaragua.

Botanical Gardens

We went to the botanical Gardens earlier this week, and I am itching to go back. We only got to see the Children's Garden but the little I did see was gorgeous. Bella really enjoyed herself too.

Here are some of the pictures I took...

Braves game

On Saturday evening, Bella attended her first Braves game. She is now hooked. We went to the game with my friend Brooke, her husband, her sons (Ronin and Raiden), her father and sister. The kids were really into the game, it also didn't hurt that they ate their way through a good bit of the game. We took the kids to play at "Tooner Field", where the kids have an area to play and cool down a little. After the 7th, our friends left, and we were going to leave as well, but Bella was not going to have any of it. She wanted to stay and watch the rest of the game. She cheered, and danced, and was REALLY into the game. She has been begging to go back to another game.

We looked REALLY rough at the end of the game.
