Bike Riding

Yesterday afternoon I took Bella for her first real bike ride. She almost has the pedalling mastered. It was fun to watch her try and figure out the bike riding thing. Trying to teach her to brake was probably the funniest thing about yesterday. I taught her how to brake, but every time she'd start going down a hill and I told her to brake, she would take both feet off the pedals and stick her feet out in front of her.

Yesterday's birthday party

We went to our friend's son's birthday party yesterday. We started out at the Jonesboro firestation, where the kids had the chance to get up close and personal with some firefighters, and all the cool firefighting equipment. The firefighters were all great with the kids, and I think that they enjoyed giving the tour as much as we enjoyed taking it. Afterwards, we all headed over to a local playground for some cake and fun.

Here are some pictures from the firestation and the playground. The video at the bottom is Bella learning to swing by herself.

Let's get caught up....

Let me catch you up on the goings on of the McCullough clan. We went to the Christmas parade on Saturday, and we all had a great time. Bella made friends with some older girls who were nice enough to share their blanket with her. She wanted to do everything that the older girls were doing including laying down on the blanket and covering up with her coat. It was the cutest thing. The only complaint about the whole thing was all the rude people pushing to cross the road during the parade. UGH!

In other news, we are leaving for Orlando on Sunday morning, and Bella knows that we are going to Florida but I don't think she has put together that Disney World is in Florida and we are in fact going to Disney World. I can't wait to see her reaction, I think she might have a complete fit when she finds out. She has an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique first thing on Monday morning so that she can get all dolled up for her visit to the Magic Kingdom. We also have tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, that should be a lot of fun. I'll have lots of pictures and I bet some good stories to share when we get back.

Pictures with Santa and riding The Pink Pig

We went to Lenox Square today to visit Santa Claus and to ride The Pink Pig with our friends. Bella had no problems going right up to Santa this year, unlike last year when she had a little melt down. She sat on Santa's lap and told him her life story, after she was done she told him what she wanted for Christmas. When we asked her to smile for pictures, she put on her most fake smiles for the pictures. Oh well... I guess you can't win them all. Then we did a little window shopping, and then made our way to The Pink Pig. Bella and her friends were so excited to ride Priscilla.

Here is some information on The Pink Pig and her history.

Magical movie theatres and Christmas trees

Yesterday, Bella said she wanted to watch Ratatouille, which I bought her this weekend. The thing is, that she wanted to watch it at the movie theatre. Apparently, the movie theatres are magical, and we had to go there. So, we trekked to the dollar theatres to watch the movie, and it was so much fun, she loves the movie theatre. We also put our Christmas tree up, which was lots of and Bella is thoroughly enjoying the tree.

Gorgeous weather & Chuck E. Cheese

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather yesterday and spent the morning at the park with some of our friends. Bella had a great time skating around the playground, even though I think she spent more time on the ground then actually skating. She got in some good outdoor playtime, and I got to hold my friend's sweet baby, we both won.

Today, we made the trip out to Chuck E. Cheese, because I am a glutton for punishment. Nah, Bella had asked and it had been a while since we had been there. She had a blast and even managed to win nearly 360 tickets. She took her time and carefully chose her prizes and she looked like she was so proud of her choices, it was very cute. Watching her have a good time was more then enough to justify the trip to the Cheese.

H&M is coming

While we were at Atlantic Station yesterday, I happened to see the HUGE signs that stated that H&M is coming. I can barely contain my excitement! I plan on being one of those crazies who camps out and busts down the doors at the opening. That's the one thing that Atlanta so desperately needed, and we are going to get it. I don't think that Patrick and Bella get how awesome this is, but they don't have to understand the love that I share with H&M.

Tree Lighting at Atlantic Station

We took Bella to the tree lighting ceremony at Atlantic Station tonight. As soon as we got there, we ran into Santa, and he was the sweetest man ever. Bella had been crying because she thought that she had missed the train ride, that they had there, and he just chatted with her. There had some "snow" fall during Diana DeGarmo's performance, and Bella looked less then thrilled because it didn't accumulate on the ground. She's seen real snow before so I guess she has higher standards. She did enjoy the young ballerina's performance. Actually, she lit up as soon as Patrick sat her on his shoulders and she had a clear view of the dancers. It was a great night to walk around there and spend some good family time together.
